The health and wellness of our patients is of the utmost importance to us. We understand the concern that many of you may have about the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and how it may impact your relationship with trusted providers at The Barranco Clinic.
As always, caring for patients in a safe and healthy environment remains our first priority. In addition to the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control who understand and continue to share and update information regarding patient care, signs, symptoms, and the ongoing efforts to understand and control the spread of COVID-19. And because of our concern for our patients, we wanted to share some specific information with you.
We are using alcohol- and bleach-based disinfectants that are commonly used by doctor’s offices to disinfect our instruments and office furniture several times each day, with a focus on any common patient touchpoints, such as door handles and our front counters. The same disinfection practices already used to prevent office-based spread of viruses are happening before and after every patient encounter.
We have instituted appointment screening procedures for the safety of our staff as well as our patients. Specifically, if you or anyone that you have come in contact with has tested positive to the COVID-19 (coronavirus); or if you are showing signs or symptoms of the flu or the virus (which include fever, cough, shortness of breath etc.); or if you have recently traveled outside the US, please call the office and reschedule your appointment to a later date.
